अ.क्र विद्यार्थ्यांकरीता ग्रंथालयाचे नियम S.N. Library Rules for Students
महाविद्यालायातील सर्व प्रवेशित विद्यार्थी ग्रंथालयाचे सदस्य राहतील. त्यांचे सदस्यत्व वार्षिक परीक्षेपर्यंत राहील. 1 All the registered students of the college will be the members of the library. The membership shall be valid till the annual examination.
सर्व विद्यार्थ्यांना ग्रंथालयाचे दोन Borrowers’ Ticket (B.T.) मिळेल. 2 All the student may get two borrowers’ tickets of the library
B. T. च्या आधारावर ग्रंथालय सदस्यांना दोन ग्रंथ ०७ दिवसांसाठी देण्यात येईल, तो ग्रंथ मागणीतकिंवा आरक्षित नसल्यास पुढील ७ दिवसांकरीता त्या ग्रंथाची मुदत वाढवून मिळू शकेल. 3 Against the borrowers’ ticket members can borrow two books at a time for seven days. If the borrowed book/s is/are not in demand or reserved, then the book/s can be renewed for seven days only.
विहित मुदतीच्या आत ग्रंथ परत न केल्यास १ रु. प्रती गंथ प्रती दिवसाप्रमाणे विलंब शुल्क आकारले जाईल. 4 If the book/s is/are not returned to the library within the prescribed limit of time, the late fee will be imposed as 1 ruppes per book per day
संदर्भ ग्रंथ, दुर्मिळ ग्रंथ, नियतकालिकांचे चालू व बांधील खंड घरी नेण्यास मिळणार नाहीत. 5 Reference books, rare books current issues or bound volumes of periodicals shall not be issued at home.
ग्रंथालयाची B.T. हरविल्यास त्याविषयी ताबडतोब ग्रंथालयास कळविणे आवश्यक आहे. नवीन B.T. प्राप्त करण्यासाठी १० रु. शुल्क भरावे लागेल. 6 In case of loss of borrowers’ ticket, immediately inform to the library in this regard. The new B.T. may be issued against the payment of Rs. 5/-.
गग्रंथ फाटल्यास, खराब झाल्यास तसेच हरविल्यास तो ग्रंथ नविन आणून द्यावा लागेल किंवा त्या ग्रंथाची नविन किंमत आणि ग्रंथालयाने ठरविलेले अतिरीक्त शुल्क भरावे लागेल. 7 If the book/s is/are teared, damaged or lost the member have to replace the same by new one or have to pay latest price with the incidental charges decided by the library.
ग्रंथालयात येतांना महाविद्यालायाचे ओळखपत्र सोबत असणे आवश्यक आहे. 8 It is essential to have an identity card of the college while entering in the library.
ग्रंथालयामध्ये शांततेचा भंग केल्यास दंडात्मक कार्यवाही करण्यात येईल. 9 Disturbing the library will be penalized.
१० ग्रंथ स्वीकारतांना ते सुस्थितीत याची खात्री करून घ्यावी, तसे ण आढळल्यास ती बाब ग्रंथपालांच्या निदर्शनास आणावी. 10 While issuing the book kindly verify the book/s is are in good condition, if not pleased inform to the librarian.

Library Rules and Regulations

1) Working Days and Hours

  1. The Central Library will remain open on the following days and time
    Monday - Friday : 10.30am.to 05.30pm
    Saturday : 07.30am to 01.30pm.
  2. The library will remain closed on every Sunday, Gazetted Holidays and Vacations
  3. The books will be issued and returned from 11.00 am to 04:00 pm only.
  4. d) The Recess Time :
    Morning 10:30 – 11:00 am (Sat)
    Noon 02:00 – 03:00 pm (Mon-Fri)

2) Membership:

  • The Students that are seeking admissions to the College will become the member of this library through securing the Borrowers Ticket (BT) duly signed by the Librarian.
  • All the Teaching and Non- Teaching as well as CHB Staff of this College are entitled to the Membership of this Library.
  • The person other than above two categories can be a Member of this Library by paying Rs.100/- per month as a Library Membership Fee with duly filling up the Prescribed Form signed by the Librarian.
  • The Person from Local, Regional, State, National and International other than (a), (b) and (c) Category can be a Member of this Library for performing their Research Activities and work with concerned Reference Letter/Authority letter from the Head/Principal/Director through duly filling up the Prescribed Form signed by the Librarian.

3) Loan Privileges:

a) Teaching Staff 10 Books
b) Temporary /Contributory /Contract Teaching Staff 03 Books
c) Non –Teaching Staff 03 Books
d) UG Students 01 Book
e) PG Students 02 Books

The other members of the library are not entitled to borrow/issue books from the library.They can refer the books in the library hall or premise only during the library working hours.

4) Conditions of Loan:

  • Loan Period:
    Teaching Staff : 01 Month
    Non –teaching Staff : 02 Weeks
    Students : 01 Week
  • The books can be renewed, if not in demand at the discretion of the Librarian.
  • An over–due of Rs.2/- per Book per day will be charged against the books kept beyond the due date of the loan for Teaching & Non- Teaching and Contract CHB Teachers.
  • The Librarian is authorized to recall any book at any time as per the needs and requirements
  • The Journals, Bound/Back Volumes, Rare books, Reference Books and Newspapers will not be issued to any member of the library. These materials can be referred only in the library hall and premise. However, in certain cases the rule may be relaxed at the discretion of the Librarian.

5) Issue Systems:

  1. The Teaching Staff, Non-Teaching Staff and the students will be given books personally at the time of borrowing it library. The Students should necessarily be brought their own Borrowers Tickets (BT) Cards and Identity Cards respectively at the time of borrowing and issuing of books from library.
  2. The students have to take care of their own Borrowers Ticker (BT) so that it would not be misused and lost. All losses are to be reported immediately to the librarian.
  3. In case of loss of borrowers Ticket (BT), the students are entitled to get duplicate BTs by paying Rs.10/- each if the cost as a fine.
  4. In case of damage, defaced, torn, loss, cut of information of the issued books, the member has to replace the similar copy of the same or has to pay double amount of the cost of the relevant books.
  5. Every student has to return the Borrowers Ticket (BT) to the library at the time of his/her clearance of the membership.
  6. Every Teaching Staff Member, Non-Teaching Staff Member and Students Members has to return the books issued to them with in time as per the notice from the librarian time to time every year.

6) Admission to the Library:

  • The students should have their own Identity Cards respectively with them while entering in Library.
  • The Library Staff is empowered to ask the students/members /users to leave the Library in case of disturbing the Library’s silent environments or not having any Identity Cards.
  • The outdoor users should be the members of this Library with the payment of the amount of Rs 100/-per Month.

7) Other Rules:-

  1. The Students are responsible to put their own bags at the Property Counter while entering in the library.
  2. Every member of the library must write their names along with the signature in the Users Register placed/kept in the Reading Room.
  3. Every student has to obtain the Clearance from the library before appearing for the annual/semester examination.
  4. Any misuse of the library privileges would be considered a serious breach of discipline.
  5. Every member has to maintain discipline of library.
  6. The members are requested to keep the library neat and clean.
  7. All the members are requested to keep silence in the Reading Room and behave well in the library premises.
  8. All the members are requested to turn off their own mobile phones in the Library or keep it on vibration or silent mode in the Library.
  9. If somebody found disturbing the Library environment or misconduct in the library, the staff is empowered to ask the user /member to leave the library
  10. The staff member of the library is authorized to examine everything that passes into out of the library at the entrance

8) Rules for Teaching Staff:

  • The Teaching Faculty Members of Library will be generally issued maximum 05 books each of their subject or other than their subject except Reference Books.
  • All the Teaching members are requested to borrow or issue books personally from the library. They should not send any messengers representatives for borrowing the books from the library.
  • All the Teaching Members are requested to search the books personally that are kept on stack in the Library. Kindly keep them as arranged in the stack and handle it with care.
  • All the members are requested to return the books within a month that are borrowed from library time to time personally. Otherwise they will be charged Rs. 1/- per day per Book as Library Dues and Fine.
  • The members must return all the borrowed books at the end of the session every year. Unless returning of the previously borrowed books at the end of the session, they will not be issued new books for the next session.
  • If the books are constantly outstanding for the last two years subsequently, it will be presumed that books are lost and the price/cost of the books will be recovered from the members in triple with no exempt.
  • The Reference Books, Research Journals/Periodicals/Bound Volume/Research Projects /Dissertations/Theses will not be issued to anybody in the normal case. These information sources can be used for ready reference only.
  • The members can issue only one old Journal /Periodical for a period of one week. If the issued Journal /Periodicals not returned in the given time the price of the issued copy will be recovered in triple from the member with no exempt.
  • In case of any Books damage, loss/torn/misused/overwrite or disfigured by a member, it will be replaced by the same copy or else pay the cost of the books with the discretion of librarian.
  • All the members are requested to notify the changes made in their residential address and their contact numbers.
  • All the members are requested to keep their mobile phone switched off or in vibration mode in the library area.
  • All the members are requested to keep the library environment silent and neat and clear.

9) Rules for Non-Teaching Staff:

  • The Non-Teaching staff members can issue 03 books from the library personally. They should not any other person to collect from library.
  • If the books are constantly outstanding for the last two years subsequently, it will be presumed that books are lost and the price/cost of the books will be recovered from the members in triple with no exempt.
  • All the members are requested to return the books that are borrowed from library personally time to time.
  • The members must return all the borrowed books at the end of the session every year. Unless returning of the previously borrowed books at the end of the session. They will not be issued new books for the neat session.
  • In case of any Books damage, loss, torn, misused by a members, it will be replaced by the same copy or else pay the cost of the books as per latest price list or will have to pay the double cost of the books with the discretion of librarian.
  • All the members are requested to notify the changes made in their residential address and their contact numbers.
  • All the members are requested to keep their mobile phone switched off or in vibration mode in the library area.
  • All the members are requested to keep the library environment silent and neat and clean
  • The student members should have to register /enter themselves in the Internet Access Register before Internet Access and after completion of their work also and if they are in need of taking
    Print-outs, they will be charged Rs. 5/=- per page.
  • All the student members are requested to keep silence and obey the rules and keep library neat and clean.

10) Rules for Other Members/Casual Members:

  • Any members desiring Membership of this library can have it with the payment of Rs.100/- per Month through filling up an application from with his /her permanent identity for library Membership.
  • The members should have their Membership Receipt, while entering in the library.
  • In case, any loss of receipt or any loss of library property, the members shall be liable to terminate their membership.
  • No Books shall be issued to any person other than duly registered member or to a person duly authorize by such person in writing on each occasion and without production of the Borrowers Ticket. These members can only refer the information resources.
  • Outdoor members can have the paid service such as Reprographic/Xeroxing, Translation, Users, Printing, Internet etc. offered by the Library with the discretion of the Librarian.
  • Unauthorized carrying of books or any other library resources by any user will be liable to terminate his/her membership.

11) General Rules:

  • All the users should have to make entry in users Register while entering in library from time to time.
  • All the users are requested to deposit their personal belongings at the Property Counter at their own cost. No one of the library employee could be held responsible for any damage or loss to the property of the members.
  • All the users requested to keep silence in the Reading Room so that the library environment should not be get disturbed.
  • If any user found interrupting or disturbing the silent environment of library, he /she will be requested to leave the library by order.
  • All the users are requested to turn off their mobile phones or to turn it on silent or vibration mode in the library premises.
  • All the users are requested to keep library neat and clean.
  • It is strictly prohibited for all users eating Gutkhas/Tobacco/any such material and smoking Cigarettes, Spitting, making Noise and Sleeping in the library.
  • The Borrowers must satisfy themselves about the physical condition of the books before borrowing. They shall be held responsible for any damage, disfigure, or mutilation noticed at the time of returning books to the library.
  • Unauthorized carrying of books or any other library materials by any user will be liable to terminate his/her membership for the whole academic session.
  • All the users are requested to take care of all the information resources and handle them carefully, if someone found in case of Information Theft, Loss, Tracing, Drawing, Damaging, mutilation, cut or Torn they will be liable to forfeit and debar their membership from this library. Again they will have to replace the source within time in the library.
  • The staff member of library at the entrance is authorized to examine everything that [asses in to or out of the library.
  • The members should notify in writing to the librarian in case of any changes made in his/her residential address or contact numbers immediately.
  • No books shall be issued to any person other than duly registered member or to a person duly authorized by such person in writing on each occasion and without production of Borrowers ticket.

    1. Theses and dissertations.
    2. Reference Books.
    3. Books marked as Rare or Reserved.
    4. Maps.
    5. Back/Bound volumes of Journals /Periodicals
    6. Loose issues of Journals/Periodicals
    7. Syllabus, Question Papers, Standards ,Patents, Specification, Government Reports, Conference Proceedings, Seminar Reports, Video Tapes, audio Cassettes, Floppies, CDs, Slides ,etc.
    8. Newspapers.
    9. Any other library property
  • The Librarian has reserved his rights to issue the members any information source in case it is rare, reference, back volume, or out printed books.
  • The members must abide by all the rules and regulations and other norms as implemented from time to time by the library.
  • The members /users found violating any of these rules, or misbehaving in any way, or disturbing or interrupting other users by making noise and conversations or otherwise, shall not be allowed to remain in the Reading Room. They will be Punished or fined or liable to forfeit their membership cards of library.
  • We are here to serve you better and needs your compliments best. Services to users are services to Nations Knowledge Wealth. If the “Users are Happy, We are too Happy”. You, all are most welcome to enrich your knowledge and information. We are pleased to inform and counsel you as and when required.

12) No-Dues Certificate:

To obtain the No-dues Certificate from the library, the members shall return all the books that are borrowed by them to the library and pay the over-due charges, dues and fine charges if any outstanding against their names of any loss of the library property, and surrender their Borrowers Ticket(BT) and Reading Room Cards in certain case. In all other matters, Librarian shall have the powers to take such action as he/she may consider fit for any kind of misconduct /violations of library rules and regulations, etc.

13) Care of Library Materials:

It is the responsibility of every user/reader/member to care the library resources. It is the property of the library. Library resources such as books, journals, periodicals and electronic materials, etc are costly and are often rare. It is for the benefit of faculty members, students, research scholars and other society members of the present and also of the future. Therefore, one should not write upon, damage, torn, turn down the leaves or mark on the library materials. Tracing or copying or highlighting or underlining or scribing or tearing of any library material is strictly prohibited and banned by copyright policy and users shall be solely responsible for any violations. Before leaving the circulation/issue counter, the members should satisfy themselves as to whether the library material lent to them is in sound condition. If not, they should immediately bring the matter to the knowledge of the library staff at the counter; otherwise they are liable to held responsible for replacing the material or paying such compensation as fixed by the library authority.
